Introduction to I/O Control
The Screwdriver can be controlled and monitored by standard digital I/O. The Spin Bridge has 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. The digital inputs can be used to control the screwdriver. The digital outputs can be used to monitor the screwdriver.
The basic steps to I/O Control are as follows:
Enable I/O control by setting DI8 high.
The system is ready when the DO1 is high.
Select the desired action, by setting the DI 1-5 to the desired value.
Start the action by setting DI6 high.
If the action is to start a screw program, the screwdriver will start and the DO4 (OK), DO5 (Not OK) or DO6 (Fault) will go high when the screwdriver is done.
Inputs 1 to 5 are mapped to actions on the Spin Dashboard. The rest of the I/O is fixed:
